I wrote this one driving into a snowy sunrise on the way to worship team practice. Human love often seems to have some element of fear, so we seldom love with abandon. God's love is different. He knows that we will hurt him, but he lavishes his love on us anyway.
lyrics
I see the sunrise, its brilliant colors
Bursting through my soul and I say
Lord, I love you too
Oh Lord, oh Lord
I love you too
I see the snowstorm, its gentle fury
Settle down on me and I say
Lord, I love you too
Oh Lord, oh Lord
I love you too
You go all out every time
You put your heart on the line
You could hold back, full knowing the lack
That you’ll receive
Open my eyes, help me see
The depth of your love for me
I must respond, I give you this song
My everything
I see the fire, its dancing danger
Give and take away and I say
Lord, I love you too
Oh Lord, oh Lord
I love you too
I see the children, their fearless wonder
Mirroring your face and I say
Lord, I love you too
Oh Lord, oh Lord
I love you too
You go all out every time
You put your heart on the line
You could hold back, full knowing the lack
That you’ll receive
Open my eyes, help me see
The depth of your love for me
I must respond, I give you this song
My everything
I see the sunset, its silent glory
Signed by your own hand and I say
Lord, I love you too
Oh Lord, oh Lord
I love you too
And I say Lord, I love you too
Oh Lord, oh Lord
I love you too
